Consigning with The Redefinery

STEP ONE:

MAKE AN APPOINTMENT.  WE OFFER 2 TYPES OF APPOINTMENTS-

  • Consignment Appointment (smalls)-these appointments are for smaller home decor items.  Any item that you can get to The Redefinery easily-artwork, lamps, side tables, etc. qualify for this appointment. 
  • Offsite Consignment Appointment-these appointments are for consignors that may be downsizing or managing an estate.  A Redefinery team member will come to you to assess your items. 

STEP TWO:

DOWNLOAD OUR CONSIGNMENT AGREEMENT . READ IT CAREFULLY AND FILL IT OUT AS COMPLETELY AS POSSIBLE. 

STEP THREE:

Email us at consign@theredefinery.org

  • include pictures of all items (small and large) you'd like us to consider for consignment
  • send multiple pictures of furniture showing the piece(s) from several angles in good lighting
  • make sure to send any pictures of labels, makers marks or any other identifying marks
  • include any provenance or history associated with the piece(s)
  • indicate your timeline and any other information we need to know at the beginning of the process

STEP FOUR:

Give us 24 hours to respond. While you are patiently waiting for us to review your pictures, prepare for a 'yes, we'll consign everything'!

  • if necessary-rent a truck, bribe a friend--do what you have to line up your drop off
  • look at your calendar and have 2 days that work for you to drop off

STEP FIVE:

Once you hear back from us, this is where the TEAMWORK starts!

  • make sure all of your treasures are CLEAN and ready for their debut on our sales floor
  • competition is stiff, so break out the Windex, silver polish, steam cleaner (upholstered items), Old English, Restore-a-finish, etc. 
  • our Consignment Team will focus their energy on processing your treasures, so we won't have extra time to clean them
  • we will use any info you included in your email about the history/provenance of your treasures, our sales history, our current inventory to arrive at a price

STEP SIX:

Track your sales!

  • if you have any items that don't sell, remember to pick them up before your contract expires 
  • any treasures left behind become the property of The Redefinery and 100% of the sale goes back to the business
